One thing that I learnt very early in my career as a Designer, was how every well executed project always starts with a clear design brief.
This had a positive effect as I quickly learnt that good design is clear and understandable dialogue between the end user and the designer, especially as we are trying to solve people problems.
Over the years that I have refined and enshrined this approach into my personal design process to help create ideas that matter for almost any business problem.
Today I now share this approach with design and development teams to help cultivate innovation with a flexible, friendly hands on approach.
When designing a new website or app one powerful technique I've learnt over time is to think about contrast very early on in the prototyping stages of the project.
Minimal use of colour and maximum application of contrast can help make almost any design clearer and easier to use.
Coming soon...One thing that I'm asked everywhere I work is what do designers do?
People that know appreciate design understand that it's the not just drawing, sketching - we designers are always looking to discover new ideas to real problems and that sketching is simply a tool that communicates our ideas.
Coming soon...Many people these days talk about Lean UX, I say that most designers work this way
One of the challenges that I face almost on a daily basis in my job as a Designer is that I strive to be as efficient as possible.
