Some personal thoughts...

Project planning UX in your design process critical

One thing that I learnt from my first job as a Designer, was how every well executed project always starts with a clear brief.

The story was that I thought I would dive straight into drawing new and fun products, instead for the first week I had to learn how to type out a briefing document for the first week.

This is something over the years that I have refined to a point, yet with so many designers these days I don't see many of them attempt write or analyse the brief as a clear step in the design process.

Minimal use of colour and maximum application of contrast can help make almost any design clearer and easier to use.
